They’ve ruled hard since day 1

But the Marston production might help to convince the nonbelievers

Noticed you mentioned “Entity Dissolving Entity” twice in consecutive paragraphs and it read like you actually intended to reference a different track the second time around. I might be wrong.

“The guitars crunch their way through Welshman’s forgiving growled phrasings.”

Did you mean “unforgiving”?

“... Welshman’s vocals amass themselves at the top of mix...”

Forgot a “the” here.

“At first listen ‘The Sanguinary Impetus’ is a somewhat one-dimensional...”

Either an “a” too much or a word like “affair” missing.

Hope you don’t take offense, it’s a cool review.

As for the album itself, found it super spastic and less brutal/heavy than previous releases which didn’t sit too well with me. Gotta spin it some more, but so far it’s my least favourite of theirs.

I believe you mean to say a necessary addition? Top 5 DM album in the last 10 years

Also I don’t see how anyone can possibly view this as one-dimensional on first listen - I guess maybe if you’ve heard only a few brutal death albums? There’s so much happening here

Yeah I don't agree that it's more "conventional" than Disposal/Dharmata just because the BDM and prog elements aren't presented separately. It might be their most technically adventurous album yet.

Thanks for all those Lichtbringer, I think I've already admitted I'm not at the top of my game with this one. There's a few things going on 'off-sput' that's distracting and blocking me. Probably not enough of an excuse at this level and this far in - but hey. Also wasn't aware that this hit the front page so thanks for that invisi-mods.

Idk why I thought Defeated Sanity were a melodeath band for so long.

This is like, brutal tech slam imo.

Also I like how over the top and spastic this is but I also feel like it makes it feel a little incoherent? Like there's not a lot to actually latch onto if that makes sense but idk I'm only on my first listen so I should definitely give it more of a chance.
