Not having my phone and laptop run at 10% efficiency due to being bogged down by such sheer volume of digital music alone is worth the trade off tbh

If I'm gonna have music take up precious space it better be vinyl

But yeah I have a few qualms with spot. Nothing too serious.

Yeah man, I'll never understand the thinking behind refusing getting to as many people as you can.

Spotify sucks the life and blood out of the artist? Yes, I experienced it myself, but it also makes your music reach a great number of people and more importantly, it makes it easy. Then you tour, like you fucking should if you really care about the whole thing, and those same people are the ones that will go to your shows and buy your merch.

Like who's really making money from CD sales nowadays? Beyoncé?

I saw them on the Pink tour, was indeed awesome. Would like to see them again with a more a more diverse setlist tho, those anniversary full album tours are neat but you miss the surprise of not knowing what they’ll play next

I had to sell all my CDs not long ago for personal reasons so I’m not really interested in collecting physical media right now, as cool as it is to have that stuff. Maybe someday I’ll start grabbing vinyl, at least the stuff I like the most

Once I started collecting vinyl I started to resent my CD collection lol. Sold it years ago and bought more records

I only resent my records when I move

Maybe I’ll just buy every Boris album on vinyl with some random other occasionally lol. They’re probably my favorite band at this point and they seem to always put the best versions of their albums on vinyl

They do, and the art and packaging is always pretty DELUXE. Would be a sexy collection.

I haven't had an abundance of spending cash recently so Spotify works quite well for me. The convenience, the mobility (of premium especially), and the music it's algorithm has helped me find has really been integral to my exposure to genres and artists I didn't even know existed.
