I loooooooove "I Know Alone," rest of the album is great but pales in comparison. "3AM" is probably my least fave just because it's so basic pop but it's good basic pop so I won't complain

"the transitions back and forth between like soul/r&b, electropop, and fucking country twang"

I was caught by surprise too, but I actually kinda liked it

"pleasures of the flesh cover ripoff"

LOL first thing I thought of too. Either that or Clutching At Straws

I really liked the record but at times it gets too country-ish in my opinion.

'I Know Alone' is definitely the best track here and i wish they had more songs like this on the record. I think this is where they really shine. But at the same time this song doesn't really fit in the overall country/reggae vibe of the record. It sucks that they decided not to include their previous singles (Summer Girl and Now I'm In It) because they would work better here instead of some of the filler tracks.

Man From the Magazine is my favourite, proper Joni Mitchell vibes on that one.
