Currents > all

Currents was how I first fell in love with this band, since then though their production value has only regressed in quality, even if it's a 'stylistic choice', I still cant entirely get behind it. Although I do think the debut faired better than the sophomore under these circumstances. Overall I'm seeing a regression in quality in the core fundamentals of the band, and yes Currents is their best

I didn't like the production on the first version of Ares, but I didn't expect to like that version better then the version on this one. The original delivers much more of a punch especially in terms of drums, I would listen to that version 9/10 times over the redo

"Currents > all"

That right? I'll have to check it. Covet is an annoying one for me because I love the style and musicianship but the songwriting and production do very little for me, so I'd like to have at least one record of theirs that I can look to an be like "yeah, that's why they're good."

Just chucked on Currents. dedex might be right, so far sounds better than both of their albums. Much more character to it

watch the Covet - Sea Dragon [Official Music Video] on yt, it adds another type of immersion to the music imo, another thing that has regressed in quality is their music videos.. Sea Dragon is their best MV, and also the Yvette Young - Ares (guitar playthrough) is up there I suppose. Basically, Covet dropped the ball when Yvette stopped playing that BEAUTIFUL STRANDBERG GUITAR

Aight wildinferno, Currents is the one record that hooked me, and I've struggled finding *that* spark on their subsequent records

"Sea Dragon" vid is sooooooo cool

If this is a regression guess I better dig into the old stuff.

after listening to all 3 Covet releases, Currents is definitely the most lively but I really love the the atmosphere of this one. they're all about equal (which means they're all great lol). I'd love to hear them break out of their comfort zone for the next release if anything

Whoa, I didn't expect to see this on here. I discovered this band recently from a YT rec, and glad I did. This is some good stuff. I was obsessed with Parachute while waiting for the album to drop.
