Still in Motion is the only worthwhile song on this

The only tracks that didn't do much for me were No Reply and Plant Sugar tbh. The rest pretty much holds the same weight. I really dig the 3 track run from Still in Motion to Parties above everything else though. I think that's the best stretch on this album.

i saw them live straight after they released this and it was literally the most boring set I've ever had the displeasure of sitting through

people tend to forget they lost they're second guitarist right after Peripheral Vision. I think that had a huge correlation with the steep decline in quality

I can't speak to their live performance but I don't see a "steep decline" here. This may not be peripheral vision but I think this record has it's charm on its own right.

Wait. Who would ever go to a Turnover show and expect it to be exciting? They play music that they want you to get stoned to

I saw them on that same tour and it was fucking amazing, they brought a ton of energy that I wasn't expecting and yeah there was a lot of weed

they sounded much better touring on this than previously, though it did come at the cost of having to sit through like the entirety of this record just to realise they cut 'cutting my fingers off' from the setlist, sadface

@JS19

yeah they did, only one who was sitting down was Austin, playing the keyboard of course, the crowd lost their shit when they started playing Take My Head and then it just never stopped, there was moshing and crowd surfing even to this record

some chucklehead at the show i went to brought like 10 giant beach balls and they were bouncing all over the place for the first few songs, one of them bounced off of austin's head and knocked over a mic

This is a thousand times better than Good Nature. I really don't quite comprehend the hate for this.

The reception this got is similar to what happened with Balance & Composure’s Light We Made. More direct, simplified, lo-fi approach. Atmospheric.

I can see why it’s not what people wanted from them... Whatevs I love both of these albums
