Weightlifters also be a banger. Those vocal melodies smacked a smile on my face from first listen.

I ignored this when it released but I kind of love it. The change in style suits him.

I like this better than the other stuff honestly. It kind of focus is what I like about him.

Maybe it's just because I've been listening to both albums a lot lately but the scattershot, kitchen sink approach of this really reminds me of Hail to the Thief.

It's definitely a shift into some more avant-garde scatterbrained (httt) type songwriting, but I just love how their voice is extremely defined on this project.

except Hail to the Thief doesn't have a song as terrible as Hollywood
one of my main issues with this one is that he practically had done half of the things this record sets out to do and he did it better, all while still being a one man project at the time
people who praise this record need to get on How to Leave Town and Starving While Living.
madlo just sounds the most unfocused of his and at times even half assed, and I hope it ends up being just a minor misstep in an otherwise stellar discography

This got better with age (even tho it wasn't ever bad)
Even Hollywood is fine, just sounds like early Beck
Will never understand the hate
