Seems there's a lot less structure to it. Will need to have a handful more listens, but my gut tells me this is definitely better

Agreed it's more free flow which definitely helps him out poetically can't decide if it's sonically better though. So far a solid 4 for me tho

I can tell just by looking at the cover and reading the title that it isn't as good as this

Wow! I've been listening to Milo since his debut in 2011 and somehow completely missed this name change. Only reason I found it was bc Spotify recommended a new collab album by Scallops hotel (milos other alias), which happens to be his new Ferreira LP

same!

Haha my 2.5 took Bob's Son off the trending albums page entirely.
Just checked by deleting my rating and it went right back up at #2 trending lol. The 2.5 stands sry to R.A.P. Ferreira fans

Nvm someone overrated it 4.5 and now it's back at #2 trending

Rory, like a comic initiative, reboots himself every couple years, bringing in new fans. 2011 brought his Milo name and first mixtape. Then 2013 he released 3 EPs that all got positive attention. 2015 saw the creation of Scallops Hotel and arguably his most successful LP, So the flies don't come. Two years later saw the release of an equally acclaimed LP. Then in 2018, he released 3 albums across three different aliases. Now, with a new official name and two albums within 7 months, he's been garnering a lot of new attention, based off what I've seen on several sites and publications. Pretty much always enjoy his work and experiments, even with his consistent cheese. "Fuck the Beatles, go Yoko, yknow bro?"

Btw that lyric isn't an example of the "consistent cheese" I mentioned, just always recite it for fun. Not even his line, it's Kool AD on a track from Milos Toothpaste Suburbs, which I've bumped an ungodly amount of times. Sad that most peeps dismiss that album, but I can get why.

Kool AD best rapper in the world no doubt

Honestly haven't listened to his work, but enjoyed all the times I've heard him featured. Any recs?
*edit* Kool ADs discography is wack lol. 52 releases listed on Sput, including 7 LPs from 2020, none of which have any ratings. Is this for real?

Just to clarify, that's me quoting him haha. Listen to Das Racist's Shut Up, Dude and Sit Down Man to start off with. There are dips in quality here and there, but they were such a singular group and the good shit is astounding.
Also, this sums him up pretty well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCPGaFyFqC0

Lol haha totally went over my head. Thanks for the rec, I'll check out Das Racist

Bob's Son isn't that good. I really like redguard snipers but outside of that not much stuck out to me
