And no, I said that with a few bands that I think are alright in mind when I wrote that, I actually changed it to "really great" because I worried that just great would make it sound like I think that everything else is bad.

When it comes down to the most significant and prominent of examples that people mostly bring up about British Metalcore the only one that I feel is really great is Johnny Truant. A few good cult bands doesnt make the whole scene genuinely good.

You're fine my friend. We're just going to have to agree to disagree. UK scene has had plenty of highlights and I don't believe they can be dismissed. Including cult bands, since they were a part of that scene too. Even then, some of the more popular acts are cult-like relatively to the scene as a whole and the genre.

Considering the fact that most people bring up average at best shit like Architects for prime British Metalcore id say its a far cry from a bad take. Johnny Truant are the only good heavily significant British band and theres a few great cult bands like Beecher and Eden Maine from the British Scene and I can also understand the appeal of Rolo Tomassi even if I dont like them but thats it.

Was a bad take, but we'll leave it be as it is. I don't foresee a common ground.

Oh shit Mars I thought you couldnt buy the first part where I said I tried to change my wording. Ill admit that in hindsight I prob shouldve said that there were a few cult bands that I thought were genuinely good in the initial post.

I dont think British Metalcore had any highlights outside of a select few bands. Cool with me if you think differently.

"Johnny Truant are the only really great Metalcore band to have come out of the British scene"
Not true, but no other UK band has been able to top In The Library of Horrific Events.
