Album Rating: 3.5
The first few songs on the album are great, then they get mediocre.
I am also picky about her vocal performance, mainly lacking in characters, her singing skills are fine with a brief spin, but a closer listening will reveal a lack of sophistication. there's a lot of potentials, her voice is actually very great.
I have this review in my collection, and I think it's pretty well written.

Last song is sonically good but lyrically terrible.

And you absolutely know that is the one that's gonna receive the most "YAS QWEEN!" praise from the "professional" critics.

All the reviews I've read seem to point otherwise. Even some of her fans seem to be sorta embarrassed by it.

Great so I’m not allowed to dislike this because I’m misogynist by proxy ughhh

First 5 tracks are SO good, then it's true it goes downhill, ending properly and atrociously, but first half really gets me going idk.
And I see a lot of complaints about her voice, etc, I really like her slightly raspy texture and grave tone, don't think she lacks personality or whatever.

I agree Dewi, her voice is not the most unique or instantly recognisable but I wouldn't say it has no personality. And I think it gives the album extra flavour by giving some diva? weight to the singing. I don't think it's the strongest point, but I sure don't see it as a weakness

It holds up well after several listens. Ready to invade the dancefloors once the nightclubs reopen.

Never been over the moon about her personality either, but she's obviously put big efforts the past couple of years into making a solid pop album, learning dance choreography and improving her stage presence tenfold. That kind of willingness to improve one's craft is pretty admirable.

Defending this chicks voice is absolutely mind boggling. If her voice had a flavour it would be low fat vanilla.

Having an immediately recognizable voice is a huge part of what makes any truly iconic pop star worth their salt. this is a competent album and for someone so early in their career the dedication to theme and tone (up until the obligatory shitty ballad at the end) is admirable when most artists at this early stage in their pop career are groomed to throw everything but the kitchen sink into their albums to see what $$$ticks (*cough* eilish, reyez). But that doesnt compensate for the fact that her vocal chops are nothing but mediocre and without that no matter how many dance lessons she takes she'll never have the charisma to make a lasting impression. If you cant do a hilarious dramatized impersonation of a pop stars voice then they simply dont have a pop star calibre voice.
