also I love how bad witch, 30 mins, is a full length. but Broken, 31 mins, is an EP.

Trent Reznor did that cuz he thought, that calling stuff an EP is not getting that much attention than an LP - algorithmwise with spotify and all. So he called it an LP

From the chart statistics it got a lot more attention than the EPs. Plus, many bands/artists tend to release these days 30-35 min albums.

Together was boring on first listen, but this one slays. I would have shit my pants if I had listened to this during peak Corona in March, almost panic-inducing

This never grabbed me. Feels haphazard which I know is supposed to ~convey chaos~, but it never felt earned like the peaks on V did. This feels like cheap jump scares vs. V's legitimate terror. Nothing is freakier than "With Faith".

"which I know is supposed to ~convey chaos~" "cheap jump scares"

my issue with a distressing proportion of everything I've heard from NIN and a huge reason why Together smokes this

whoah Jotw do we 100% agree on something with no bones about it? feels weird to at least not have a caveat disagreement within the agreement :D

A few tracks from this appear in Adam Curtis' latest documentary series. They caught my attention and lead me to Ghosts VI. I enjoyed mid 00s NIN, but Bad Witch didn't really do it for me. Loved the Social Network and GWTDT soundtracks and this is definitely up there with those.

the way the sound design on this links the earlier ghosts albums is pretty rad. haunting moments aplenty

Ghosts Together definitely had more tracks on it that grabbed my attention than this, but I like how there is a greater mix of short, medium, and long songs on Locusts.

Courtney Love now levelling accusations about Trent Reznor, saying she's witnessed stuff he got up to in the 90s. I'm going to reserve judgement though because Courtney isn't exactly a reliable witness and has a habit of making outlandish claims against people she feels has wronged her (just look at the amount of shit she's thrown at Dave Grohl).
