avocados worst for me but riot act isnt far behind. only reason avocado specifically is riot act has a couple of okay ish songs where nothing on avocado grabs me. lightning bolts also pretty weak but is at least generic in a less boring way

Sounds a lot like a Pearl Jam album. Definitely has more that's grabbed my attention than their last two - I'm digging the muscle behind these songs. Glad PJ is back!

Inveigh, you left off Riot Act from your ranking; therefore, I'm assuming you love it lol. I find that Riot Act has aged pretty well actually. I love everything up to Riot Act and like the rest - thinking this will get me to look at the last three albums closely again. Pearl Jam is just always a reliable shoulder to lie on.

I've never listened to the S/T or Lighting Bolt for some reason, need to change that asap, probably not missing out on too much though based on these lists.

Well, my well of Pearl Jam jokes has run dry.
Surprisingly pun-resistant album titles these guys have.

I love how it starts with that increasinly promising loop and then it suddenly halts and the most mundane of mundane guitar riffs starts playing haha

The album starts with Dance of the Clairvoyants.

vs is a bit more ‘arty’ has less soaring anthemic numbers and is a bit rough around the edges compared to Ten.

Ten does have the most unified sound, particularly the most consistent guitar sound, and there’s this sheen to the production too

I get the appeal with Ten but Vitalogy is my boy

Corduroy and Immortality is the peak PJ style for me

"I’m sussing this one out, shuffling towards it prodding it with a stick before taking a few steps back. Walk up close to it it, crouch down, sniff the air around it. Further stick prodding.
I feel a bit uneasy, do I bury it or take it home and nurse it."

Zak really came in with the best review

I've never listened to the S/T

I bought the self titled. To this day I think it was a waste of time... I should have bought riot act instead....
