See, i agree with you. I don't believe my opinion excludes anything you said here.
In a live setting, i also much preffer a band with a shit ton of energy that gets me moving than some boring band that just stands there looking down at their instruments so they can play perfectly.

What put's me off is huge differences in quality, like i expressed in my first line with going from angel on record to awful live. If the difference is so great that it feels "fake". But even then, if the band put on an amazing show i will still be happy as long as i have a good time.

New vocalist is Tobias Rische from Alazka. Don't care about that band but he's a good vocalist anyway and I'm excited to hear how he sounds with Novelists.

Never heard Alazka’s stuff before... crazy to hear how similar the harsh vox styles of both vocalists. Think Novelists will have a second wind with this new addition and bring us back some good ol Souvenir era material

Indeed, I think the new guy is primarily a harsh vocalist (I'm sure he does cleans too), so I imagine we're gonna get some heavier instrumentals from Novelists to back him up. They have a new single coming out at the end of November.

I think that has more to do with the production, but yeah it doesn't sound too bad there. But is Tobias still in ALAZKA or not? Cause they just released a few singles which were pretty good.

Yea they broke up a few months ago I think, and yea that whole song is all Tobias, dude is a great vocalist. I had my money on the Landmarks vocalist moving over to this band but I'm very content with this addition

Song is pretty cool yeah. Something completely different, but it sounds nice. It's like BMtH + Alazka + Novelists with a little Disperse flavour. I like it, although it's a little all over the place
