yeah they don't sound like they're "incorporating" a lot of genres, it just sounds like they started at the drawing board and intentionally forgot genres existed

yeah the beginning of Marid transcends incredibly hard
this album's best moments are actually probably the quietest
|
| |
Awesome band and this one is prob my fav from them atm

Album Rating: 4.5
Yeah, that statement is so true
Kayo, on the other hand, sounds like he took the drawing board and turned it into a wormhole

No, I actually enjoyed it but what I meant was as time goes on I've been becoming more open minded and have been able to absorb things better with greater understanding. So although I enjoyed it I may actually enjoy it even more this time around.
Ah, I get you; I feel that way too
I really want to hear Gamma Knife, but I'm going through chronologically, so Coyote comes first

and swee thread i agree that the album has an uninfluenced feel to it

It's funny, coz the riff in the second half of Birth Pains sounds a lot like a Coheed and Cambria riff (I think it's Faint of Hearts); maybe motW are secretly influential

second half of Birth Pains is so atmospheric, the guitars on this album rule so much

Oh yeah, and the solos are great without stealing the limelight
The first half of Heaven and Weak makes me swoon every single time
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.0
the riff at 6:29 in Heaven And Weak is crushing but majestic, motW pulls that off better than anyone
also Sam crescendos the crap out of those toms in that part

True that, Stones of October's Sobbing is basically the definition of crushing yet majestic imo
Have just remembered that Hubardo will be aoty, am so hyped

dude, The Curve That To An Angle Turn'd is the epitome of that. Bath is the far superior album but Curve is probably the best motW song.
