Can't comment on the triggering, but the drums are definitely played proper, and not programmed. Barone said it was the toughest he's worked on an album, and he's recorded/played with Shadow of Intent, The Faceless, Aegaeon, Whitechapel, etc.

I've always had a soft spot for these, but the replay value on their previous albums was next to fuck all. This is already much, much better. There seems to be a decent structure to the tracks. Great review as well.
