Do you have any other Muse albums? Both Absolution and Origin of Symmetry are better than this, Origin being one of my favorite albums of all time. This Message Edited On 02.07.08

No. Not yet. I'm going to get them, though. This band is too good to miss. I've heard Absolution is their best.

Absolution is their most accessible, catchy album. It also boasts some of their best piano parts. I just find Origin of Symmetry to be a very diverse, epic, dramatic, experimental and flat out classic piece of music.

Hey man, what's wrong with Showbiz?

Nothing. It's just their worst album IMO; awkward slow song placement, inconsistency and not epic enough for my Muse liking. It's still a great album tho, I rated it a 3.5.

Odd, I prefer Showbiz to this. I thought Showbiz was pretty sweet, though clearly not as good as Absolution or OoS.

Yah Showbiz is definately more in the vein of traditional Muse than BHaR. I thought this album was a great exploration of their pop side. This Message Edited On 02.18.08

Yeah. I guess BHaR is a good journey down their poppier side, it's just a journey that left me feeling home sick.

And that's my bad analogy of the day. Take it home and make love to it.

this was ok, really didnt do much for me. I know people are tired of Muse-Radiohead comparisons, but I couldn't get over the fact that this sounded to me like Radiohead-lite.

seriously, the only things muse and radiohead have in common is their home country, genre (and even then sometimes muse stray from alt rock into many other things) and the singers sound similar sometimes. This Message Edited On 05.07.08

Yeah and not that similar really. Bellamy's voice is much better.

Well Radiohead branches out away from standard alt-rock too, but both seem to have a spacy feel as well with varying degrees of experimentalism. And I much prefer Yorke's voice to Bellamy's, more interesting. Even without comparisons, this album was pretty boring.
