I've heard it quite a lot of times but I came to this one backwards from the later stuff
This doesn't give me what I like from albums like 'Travel the Galaxy' and 'No Cure' which are more all about the 'bangers' and the cartoonish sci fi element.
So I need to 'let that all go' and approach it more how I would if I was just listening to a drum n bass artist I haven't heard before from the mid to late 90s. More the 'album experience' not just adrenaline rush stuff.
At the moment I have this on a 4 with the aforementioned albums plus 'The Creeps' and maybe another one I'm forgetting.

I just need to listen to it a load more basically, but the genre is one of my all time favourites (dark drum n bass/neurofunk)
There's also an argument I should just 5 'Travel the Galaxy' and 4.5 this, I dunno, feels like time to bump some of their stuff though. 'Travel the Galaxy' is definitely one of my most listened albums over the last 15 years

I try not to ‘academic rate’ stuff too much - in that I know why this is a more important and groundbreaking album than the later albums
Just need to get a personal connection with it but I’m pretty sure I will, I need to sit down with it rather than take it on a run or do weights to like a lot of the later Ed Rush
Neighbourhood late night walk with headphones would be good for this I’m feeling, or coming home from London after a night out

"deplazz needs to review dom and roland"
Not really acquainted with his solo albums but he had some really strong collaborations and remixes on Renegade releases, and of course legendary collabs with Ed Rush and Trace.

Yes!!! Album is a grower in a way, but when I first found it I loved it so much I jammed it like 10 times in a few days, and then more intricacies became revealed with more listens. A mysterious album that doesn’t give all its secrets right away
