Molten Beats is great, love it for real, but doesn't quite have the "less is more" genius of this. The way this is so stripped down and powerful is nothing short of contemprary art at its finest.

The minimalism here is a bit of a double edged sword for me. It's definitely a big charm of this album, but as far as my tastes go I prefer the high-tech polished sounding neurofunk that this inspired, and it leaves me wanting a bit more in the mix. it's interesting though how quickly the "cleaner" sounding stuff became standard. I haven't really come across any neurofunk artists that use minimalism in a way quite like ed rush and optical did
