@Pika well, as a fan of both bands, that's a hard no. Not even sure how that comparison could be drawn

I first joined this site because I was a Green Day superfan and so damn angry at Adam Downer for giving Uno a 1/5 and JViney for giving Dos a 1.5/5.

Eight years later here we are

"This album is just a better version of what they have been trying to do since Uno"

I actually agree. These guys pretty much got to me into punk in 1994, so im slightly nostalgic and a bit biased since I still have a soft spot for the band even though I rarely listen to them much anymore.

As a Green Day fan I will check this out - and sometimes albums grow on me like the new Little Big Town one did - but hopefully the first singles aren’t like the rest. I did not like them at all.

i mean the earsplitting falsetto is abandoned by like track 3 at least so the singles are the worst

the effects on the vocals are so bad. i like billie joe's voice but it's so processed that sometimes it sounds like literally anyone could be singing

The rest of the album is listenable at least. Except for the teenage teenager song

It's not as awful as I was expecting, it's the first GD album I've actually not been bored listening to since 21st Century Breakdown but yeah this isn't great, too much of the Foxboro Hot Tubs sound they did a while ago. I wish they would just do something like Linkin Park did with Hunting Party and just go angry as fuck and loud as they can, at least it would be a talking point, even if it was bad

That album cover... this whole album was intended as a joke, wasn't it? Or did Green Day somehow come up with this album without any ounce of irony or awareness?

Yeah I could give a single fuck yall think about my trilogy opinion, all those records are pretty solid in my estimation and fun times can be had with each of them. This album just seems generic in comparison to me, also prefer production value on trilogy (inb4 people say I'm wrong for MY PERSONAL OPINION.)
