I can’t imagine this music existing before the 1990s; the band sticks pretty closely to indie rock aesthetics that I’ve only really heard in music from the past 30 years, especially the singing and lyrics.

@Boney my Destroyer repertoire is just Kaputt and Streethawk (gonna fix this soon, probs via Poison Season and then this), but Farrar, Straus & Giroux on the list and Suicide Demo so high both make me happy. Sublimation Hour at #1 is a bold choice imo, but it's a solid track with some peak quotables

A little disappointed in Tinseltown's inclusion over perhaps A Light Travels Down the Catwalk, Certain Things You Ought to Know, or Foam Hands

Yeah, not a huge fan of that list, I'd probably go:

1. Chinatown

2. Bay of Pigs

3. Suicide Demo

4. Sky's Grey

5. Foam Hands

6. Certain Things

7. Your Blood

8. Sublimation Hour

9. Kaputt

10. European Oils

11. Blue Eyes

12. Painter in Your Pocket

13. Kinda Dark

14. Notorious Lightning

15. Bangkok

16. Crimson Tide

17. Rubies

18. My Favourite Year

19. Girl in a Sling

20. A Light Travels...

How the hell did 'Midnight Meet the Rain' make their list? That's arguably his worst song since 'Kaputt' at least :/

I meant it's the worst song he's written since the album 'Kaputt' - but it also might be worse than any song on 'Trouble in Dreams' and earlier

I really like Midnight Meet The Rain, one of my favorites off Poison Season

after listening a few more times i think i agree with the review. a boring and inoffensive album, which is a shame after the first two singles were great

This is growing on me, finding something to like in every song. I think it might be best since Kaputt.

Wasn't sure if I was going to jam this but I accidentally heard "Crimson Tide" and now I'm hooked

unimpressed by “crimson tide”. Some songs can get by on two chords but not that one
