Yeah I always find it strange when Doof and I have opposite feelings about albums...I’m sure it’s no coincidence that when this happens there’s usually a female vocalist involved.

Boney - I have similar problems with a lot of the male singer shoegaze and indie/emo band you like ;P

I will admit the vocals are the element I like least here

I think if you trace back the influences of stuff like this back to the 90s (maybe earlier?) I’ve never really liked it - I’m consistent :D

I mean female fronted indie and folk in 2019 - there’s a lot - no one will like it all and there’s loads I do like so I’m not feeling too hard done by not feeling this one

Gave this another spin today. The vocals kinda grew on me a little, but Man is it a front-loaded album lol the 2nd half is pretty uneventful

Interesting. The back half is even stronger than the first for me.

Closing trifecta brings it for sure.

it just lost me, tbh... Piano ballads tend to do that, so after Endling i lost interest and never got it back.

Endling is underwhelming for sure, but I find the next tracks even more powerful after such an uneventful piano ballad

Treat Jar and Bloom are so perfect. This whole album hasn't fallen off in the slightest.

Human condition is def top 3 for me. Just love perfectly awkward the transitions are. Dark Green Water and English Garden probably round that out.

Definitely digging Treat Jar. Found a couple songs on here I enjoy, but that's my favorite. Like Digger a lot too.

I wonder if they called themselves Great Grandpa because the name Grandaddy was already taken? 🤔
