Well, 23 stabs could actually be in self defense because it can take a lot of stabs to actually immobilize someone and if fight or flight kicks in you could probably stab someone that many times in a matter of seconds. Not saying varg's case was legal self defense. I think he's even said it isnt self defense by legal standards

Yeah going to the police would have been worse considering Varg was already under suspicion for Church burnings, so that shit was already out the window. Plus, going to the police when Euro is coming at you with a knife seems a bit counter-productive lol

Varg literally drove to Euros' house (which was half a day away i think) knowing that Euronymous wanted to kill him. Instead of doing that he could go to the police but yeah he was responsible for the church burnings so there's that
Anyway,i don't try to defend Euronymous. The guy was definitely a lunatic but so is Varg imo.

btw going back to the 23 stab wounds thing... I think... and I say this only going by memory because Varg's youtube channel got taken down... But he said on a video that euro fell through a window, (or glass table) and the glass from that gave him a lot of wounds, but because it was from the assault the court considered it part of the "stabbings"
not 100% sure thats what he said cos I watched his youtube vid years ago
