>It's also a big FU to whoever the guy is that did the death vocals in the first place

Tymon actually responded to this on Facebook and is completely at peace with it and understands it, so no worries there.

Kinda stoked for this. Traced in Air is the album that got me into progressive metal, and I think it was the album that made me sign up to Sputnik for 10 years ago just to comment on. Special place in my heart. Grew off me a bit, haven't really spun it in years, but I'm really excited to hear this update on it.

Do you have a link? I just wanted to read it, but I couldn't find it anywhere. I did find where he now identifies as a cartoon meerkat, though, so I wouldn't consider my time wasted.

Should redo Focus without the growls

While you're joking, if it was a full re-recording and they did something new instead of using growls, I'd be interested. And this is coming from someone that loves Focus.

i'd listen to a full re-recording of focus as well. altho the production is an asset in that instance it would be very interesting to hear all the elements more distinctly

Damn they removed the harsh vox? If anything I’d hoped they’d be more prominent. Guess I’ll have to get audacity and crank them up myself

Next Paul should release a remix of this without guitars and replace it all with vocoded ethereal moaning

Just drums, vocals, bass, and synths? I could get behind that, too. Ha ha.

Might end up sounding like Björk or something

Maybe if you took said vox and then ran them through a sequence randomizer before replacing them back in the track then it would sound like bjork

Is this really a remix? How many 808s are we talking?

I saw him on a YouTube comment saying he actually hated his vocals on the album and is glad that they were removed. Glad it doesn’t bother him I guess but I wish they were showcased more in the mix tbh
