great review apart from the Warm slander (unacceptable), I strongly endorse BIOYL not only being bad but placed in the worst possible spot in the tracklisting - drop it out for Miss U and that run of featureless tracks is probably one of her best ever
...but seriously Miss U fucking goes and that needs recognition

Terrible album, Click sounds like bad dupstep mixed with crappy auto tuned rapping.

Thanks Rowan! I maintain that Warm and bioyl are just ok but nothing special, and yeah, the latter's placement doesn't work at all. Otherwise it all flows pretty well for me.
I actually hadn't heard Miss U till you mentioned it but I can now confirm that it does in fact smack. Would have fit perfectly where you said.

How do you figure?

lady gaga never posed as an underground/indie pop star though
|

elements of it in Red and Blue imo! i just mean a musician making Pop with a veneer of "art" to it that makes it palatable for frothing music fans who wouldn't touch the top20 with a ten foot pole ordinarily to like i.e. pop that it's ok to admit to liking to, along with a certain almost-appropriation of Queer culture that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. idk i'm probably being cynical but "i couldn't have done it without my lgbtq fans" strikes me as capitalisation of a movement that has long been assimilated into the mainstream than a bold, conscientious statement, and felt the same with Lady Gaga. idk idk idk im handsome tho

i mean if you're looking for a great, great pop album from this decade look no further than One Direction's "Four"!!!

yeah there's just something about this that rubs me the wrong way - this could be my Sophie Mach II moment!!!! i bet she puts on a well wicked live show though, even i'd put my walking stick aside for an evening for that experience
and @reviewer forgot to mention how good and strong a review this is, especially for a second! keep writing por favor cheers

I dont think gaga and charli sought out to capitalize on the queer demograph and appropriate gay culture pretty sure their music just happens to appeal to those audiences and thus large credit to their success and growth is attributable to the cult-like devotion of that demo
