Seems this isn’t as good as SOS from what I gather? That was pretty good but I’m not a big Korn fan. But fuck, the first three tracks on that album are amazing. Some of their best. Unfortunately, the rest of the album (mostly) pales in comparison.

The first track ends with him literally whining and crying, and I just turned it off. I like these guys, but come on... I get that he has been through some shit just recently, so I'm not trying to hate, but I don't know that I can go on that emotional journey with him. I might just be too jaded at this point in my life.

Well this isnt the first time hes cried on album. Personally i really like how he puts all his emotions out there in an honest way and considering his wife died just last year, i can see why hes crying like that

Just listened to the first half of the album and yeah, that was extremely cringey. I’m all for the guy being passionate, emotional and exorcising his demons, but a little subtlety goes a long way.

These guys still haven't lost their touch, which is pretty refreshing to see. Considering I thought Serenity of Suffering was gonna be their final shot at making a great album.

Yeah so far, this isn’t bad. But it’s somewhat dull. A lot just blends together. But of course, some albums are like that the first few listens, then reveal their musical nuances and melodies after those first few.
Just not sure this grabbed me enough to want to do that. Just not a huge fan.

I get that. That's why I said I might not be willing to deal (or be as accepting or whatever it is) at this point in my life. Back on the first album I was still barely willing. As soon as I had my first digital copy of "Daddy" I edited it to fade out as soon as the music stopped.

Even without his crying noises this is cringe. I've seen people make correlations between this and the early days, but this doesn't come close. It's embarrassing to listen to.

Yeah this is vastly inferior to both Paradigm Shift and Serenity. I didn't enjoyed this as I thought I would. Far from their worst, though.

that bit literally made me cringe. i am honestly shocked by the critical and fan response to this, it's bloody awful

These guys seem like such a chore to listen to. Never managed to get into them.

The hardest they’ve hit thematically in a long time but a bit of a step down musically from Serenity. Still one of the better albums they’ve done lately, solid stuff.

Haven't finished the whole disc yet, but this was mostly on par with Paradigm, definitely not as good as Serenity.

it's pretty okay, not their worst by a long shot, but not their best
