I can feel the criticism about the remake. Always Running Never Looking Back and Throwing Copper miss the unpolished, raw vibe that they had on the original.
Also the lyrics on the first track are different. At least from what I remember. Left me hanging - is dead.

Honestly, my favourite album of theirs is 'Parting The Sea...'. The rest of their albums are really good, but I just prefer PTSBBAM a tiny bit more to the rest of their discog. Dead Horse and Stage Four swap places in my rankings a lot, but Is Survived By is probably my least favourite (even though the title track is one of their best songs).

They did this so well imo. The production is great and just adds a nice new perspective to some songs I’ve been listening to since high school.

My only qualm with the re-recording is that my favorite, "Throwing Copper", just seems a little bit...lifeless. But overall, I feel it's a very strong re-recording of the album as a whole. Still gonna be one of the best records ever, original recording or not.
