Ah damn my bad dude. You just don't have it rated so I assumed you haven't checked. That one rules fosho. Excite Dyke too ugh. Such wasted potential.

Yea i haven't rated an album in 4 years, but agreed it’s crazy how things unfolded the way they did for this band

I ironically like this, but unironically feel bad for the band getting a bad deal. I usually like bands that try against all odds and think it's a shame this band didnt get to experience what could've been. It sucks.

Also their new songs are bad and lack any charm the first album or this had.

Considering how lowly rated all their "official" albums are (so to speak), this is fascinating. Yea you have to feel terrible for the band in this situation. I'll have to listen to this soon.

This is definitely their magnum opus. Their first album is super lovable but diy in nature and has that horrendous crank that song so it has a lot of haters. The other take of this album is pretty different and not very good, it was a very disappointing followup when it came out mostly due to the cluttered chaotic yet still over-produced mix. The drum performance here is good, I think the other one is all programed. This reminds me a little of what DGD was going for with Happiness but it's way better. Nabil writes some of the most catchy and fun music in the genre. I do feel bad for the situation but at least these recordings exist and got officially released so people can look back and realize how good this band actually was

God, I wish Nabil would've like, started a new band, or did something to continue his musical career. He's way too talented to not be putting his music out into the world.

That's all I know of. pretty stuff.

Also, can't forget his solo As the Plot Thickens demo if you haven't heard it. The production isn't great but the songs are fantastic. I Over-Analyze A Lot is just too catchy:

Trust me, I've heard all of it. I'm subbed to his Youtube channel and everything. I'm waiting for that one fateful day when he ANNOUNCES SOMETHING BIG

This reminds me a lot of fftl when sonny’s cleans and travis’ screams would play off each other so perfectly. This has some really great tracks on it, what a fucking nostalgic trip

This year.

Although, if Via hadn't been released in 2011 then this would also be my AOTY for that year.
