I keep thinking that I'm possibly exaggerating just how scary this album is and that maybe I'm making it out to be worse in my memory, but every time I return to it I remember why.



I just decided to put put on Cue while driving somewhere at night and wow, quite an unsettling experience. It still has a disturbing and jarring effect after hearing it so many times. Maybe not quite as much as the very first time (nothing's like the first time) but still impressively effective.

It's a shame that this album so often just gets reduced to that album where "a guy punches meat", does a "Donald Duck voice" and is "scary". Where people comment on it purely based on the novelty of it when the music is very well crafted and interesting even without all of those things.
