Sucks this isn’t on streaming services. A bit too long but great atmosphere. The Beautiful Dead and Inside the Termite Mound go so hard

I think the length works fine for this, makes everything more immersive.

Pandemonium is my fave of the 2-3 I've heard, but this band is great and I should dig in further. Gonna do Night Time soon, I think

when i was looking into braindamage for the thrash list i found an interview with their vocalist/bassist wherein he said in his opinion killing joke had the greatest influence on all the alternative music genres of the 80s/90s/00s ... so even in obscure niches the respect is there, altho that guy was also family friends with geordie somehow as it turns out

“in his opinion killing joke had the greatest influence on all the alternative music genres of the 80s/90s/00s”

This totally checks. They have a gothic melodrama to their music while also having a lot of grit and muscle to their sound, especially their rhythm section. In other words, they appeal to so many audiences and everyone that has listened to a Killing Joke song thinks they’re cool as shit.

This band fucking rules so hard. One of a handful of bands that has multiple distinct eras and no one can decide on what their best era is
