It's no Chuck and I think you'd appreciate it a lot more had you suffered through their last 3 albums like the rest of us. Regardless, it's a good album that's somewhat in line with the quality of their old stuff.

I prefer Crush 40

if it's as good as a 3.8 that will be good enough for me. sum 41 has always been a strong "songs" band rather than an album band (chuck being the exception).

Chan what happened to your burzum review

all killer and chuck were both very formative albums for me and this tickled that chuck nostalgia itch pretty hard. probably gonna bump to a 3. i cannot overstate how bad those two songs i mentioned earlier are though.

This is pretty good, definitely the best album these guys have done since Chuck.
Although am I the only one here who didn't hate 13 voices?

It's aight. Doesn't hit the ferocity or quality of Infected and Chuck's best moments, but it's def the best thing they've done since. Great review, although I think that line about Sum 41 sticking it to the establishment has my sides in orbit

*sigh*
I guess I’ll check this.

Nice review Sowing. Never checked these guys before though so I'll probably skip out, I don't expect this will really 'wow' me as it is. Your writing certainly does it a good service, however.

I don't understand how listening to this is any less embarrassing than listening to Nickelback :/

Better riffs and guitar solos, for one thing.

Better drumming as well
Arguably better vocals too but I won't die on that hill

oof okay might have to check this then. recently caught them live at a festival and the only memorable thing about their set were the big singles, all played last rip

Because I think Sum 41 was a gateway band for a lot of us and they only got better and better for a period of time until Dave left. I imagine a lot of us just want them to succeed and it's nice to hear them slowly working their way back to their glory days.
