I really like this so far (at Secret right now). It's super warm and sunny.

Warm and sunny is almost always irksome, save for a few notable exceptions.

Yeah can't agree with that either Demon. Although the current whether in NL is awful (super warm and sunny, 35 degrees YUCK!).
When I Get Out stood out on first listen. This could become a 4.0 for me but a 3.5 will do for now. Reminds me of Madonna sometimes.

Damn. Yeah it's just humid and horrible here, not that nice kind of warm. It feels like we've had rain every day for the last month.

Warm and sunny is the best.
Living in SE Michigan and this past year has been fucking hell. Winter lasted for approximately seven months and now that the weather is finally warm, it's just been nonstop goddamn rain for five weeks. I JUST WANT TO BE OUTSIDE.

Sounds like where I am tectactoe.
@trifo: I'm probably being unfair, I have a weird perspective on what constitutes 'warm and sunny' music-wise. Now I think about it there's certainly more than a couple of things I like that would fit the bill.

Haha, no prob man! I prefer colder music generally too. But sometimes, if done well, those warm vibes are more than welcome.
I could easily see why some would think this doesn't have enough grit/is too poppy by the way. It's not too much for my taste though!

35 degrees in The Netherlands means exactly that: so humid you can't breathe and if you move more than one metre per minute you're instantly soaked. Totally horrible.

This is a really poor attitude to have, and this is coming from someone who loves his sad music

boys boys boys, I think I found my summer track Without A Blush is fire no pope

The odd tracks are good and the even tracks (without a blush, obsessed, SECRET, the born slippy ripoff, keep) are GOAT

'This is a really poor attitude to have, and this is coming from someone who loves his sad music'
a) I admitted my initial assumption was incorrect.
b) It was a flippant remark anyway, don't take it so seriously.

this review does the album so dirty... to not think "without a blush" and "not that kind" have memorable hooks is crazy to me. i hated the air of pretentiousness throughout the review as well, but that could just be my bias talking as this is my AOTY so far (it's probably not though).
hatchie is definitely my favourite aussie artist in years and i cant wait to see her star rise.

Yeah, I liked the album a lot too.
Didn't really get these 'pretentious' vibes from the review though, but maybe that's because I know Johnny a little and I've never picked up pretentious vibes from him before.
