Damn. Way Down is a banger

Vocals on a lot of these songs aren’t really my cup of tea but I can see them growing on me.

They’re interesting for sure. Very gruff. They lean a lot more in the punk direction but I dig it.

Starting Over owns for sure. It Is Real is another one of my early favs

Your writing is so damn good man.

Agreed, this is about a 4.7 for me. Only thing l don't really really enjoy is the closer.

agreed actually, musically this gets pretty bland in some spots but I was surprised at the raw grittiness of his voice. hadn't listened to them before this. Feeling a 3.3 - 3.4

but goddamn that album art is lame

Honestly, the vocals sometimes feel a little out of place for me on this. But mostly they are good.

Still need to get around to a 2nd, more focused, listen of this album. The new Bad Books has absorbed me but I'm still very interested in this.

Yeah I agree. To me all their stuff since reuniting sounds pretty bland. Used to be such a fanboy back in the day.

Is it weird that all I’ve been able to listen to lately is this band and Iron Maiden?

Excellent record. I have a weird connection with their self-titled from last year (which most everyone else views as their weakest effort), so this doesn't quite hit that emotional level vocally or lyrically for me, but the music surrounding everything is noticeably improved. Gonna keep jamming this all summer and undoubtedly witness it grow even more.
