I wanted to listen to this until the review mentioned it being a social justice, feminist album.

Well that's your loss, the music is excellent and the messages in the songs are relevant.

The hipocrisy of your user name and that statement is staggering.

I mean there's messages here but I really don't feel like it's that heavy handed and the tunes just rock

I mean, I’m someone who enjoys it when bands share these messages within their music depending on how it’s done. Here, it works really well, whereas I find Enter Shikari's approach to doing so feels overly pretentious.

I knew that was coming. Thanks for being predictable @WatchitExplode. I use music as escapism from politics and the sjw agenda. Just because I'm tired of being banged over the head with misinformation and propaganda, doesn't mean I don't think about things openly.

Also, if it's not heavy handed, I might give it a spin.

Misinformation and propaganda has zero to do with the album cut and stitch by petrol girls. If your opinion has already been colored to the point of ignoring music potentially offering you some of that escapism you seek simply because a review had trigger words perhaps you should take a break from social media.

If I was gonna review this I would focus on the energy and hooky song writing.

It would take a lot more than quitting social media (which I barely look at anyway) to get rid of the constant pandering and nagging I hear. Maybe it's because I work at a news station. Hahaha. Anyway, I will take your word for it and check out the album.

Hahaha. Thank you. It gets bad sometimes. And my coworkers aren't professional when it comes to expressing their political biases. I just get burnt out. Haha.

Yeah people are dumb. I'm already a curmudgeon in my thirties. Now that we've made it through that I would be curious about your thoughts on this album.

Okay, so after finding out more about the band, I realized that their message is everything that I'm against for the most part. I even find that some of their views are harmful especially when concerning the US. WITH THAT BEING SAID, I decided to separate the art from the artist and found that this was ome of the best post hardcore albums that I have heard in recent years.
