Just listened to Injury Reserve, need to give it a few more listens.
First impressions is production is fire but the rapping is meh,but that may change after I sit with it longer.

I get that some of the lines are occasionally cheesy (though not as bad as some people imply) and that their lyrical flow isn’t exactly revolutionary, but those BEATS and that PRODUCTION is so fucking crazy good. That’s always been my main draw with these guys anyway, and it’s the best it has ever been on this album.

Really? The more I listen to this album the more I’m disappointed with the production. So much of the beats here, while obviously quality, are just SOPHIE-lite and/or just kinda unimaginative for Parker’s standards imo. The only thing here that really floors me as a whole from a production standpoint is “Jawbreaker”.
