Never heard of this band before this album, so I had no hype coming into it. Absolutely love it. What I love about this album is how they don’t compromise the atmosphere with their technicality. It feels like black metal, but sounds like tech death.

I jammed the record 5 times, not including having it on as background music or during the actual writing process. The fusion and psych elements didn’t feel interesting enough to be worth commenting on in any great detail. More than willing to amend the review but I won’t have much positive to say in that regard.

I love when you're shuffling music and good music comes on

Ain't Christian enough in the transitions department

i have literally no idea what to rate this because I think a 2 is a bit too low but I also didn’t really vibe with it at all
|

so is this like... good?
|

It’s impressive but like not really in any sort of cohesive way?

There's a all world bunch of views and reviews that say exactly the opposite about cohesiveness on this...but yeah maybe not in the standard way of expecting for that...

"I mean a BTBAM fan thinks THIS is all over the place, wow. Yeah this is gonna be interesting."
This is glorified slam tbh, barely even comparable to BTBAM, BTBAM are not this heavy, BTBAM dont have these sharp transitions that happen out of nowhere, if I want to listen to an album like this, it would be Slice the Cake or Infant Annihilator

I have never seen an album called both glorified slam and the end result of every Alkaloid song being played simultaneously.
I am skeptical and curious as all hell.

It's like someone slammed the lid on the cat trying to get out of the box only to peep through the cracks...just to make sure it's still there.
