Really, really nice review, man. Wish you wrote more, feel like I missed out on when it was a regular thing. Super tiny nitpick if you care: I had to read the sentence "chess engines are a sobering reminder of this, calculating anywhere between..." a couple times -- I think there should be a colon, semi-colon or fullstop after "reminder of this", just because the former's announcing the latter, but that's neither here or there, obviously. Excited to check this.

Thanks, Blush. I appreciate that coming from you. Good call on that sentence, I'll add a colon there. I might start writing more regularly, people seem to like this review and I had a fun time writing it.

So yeah this is awesome

Ok, so what’s the best way to listen to this? I feel like headphones so you can get the intricacies, and I’m a few tracks in that way. But honestly, it gives me a weird sense of anxiety and claustrophobia almost? I’m not as familiar with this brand of music, so I’m honestly not sure if that’s supposed to be part of the listening experience or not.

I think this is great headphone music. My favourite sessions were with a good pair of cans. If you have the Soundsystem for it I'm sure some good speakers would do it justice too.

Really, really glad I checked this out. Two listens in, that claustrophobic definitely doesn’t make for a comfortable listen, but does make for an incredibly engaging one. This is so fascinating.

Crawler is straight up awful

Crawler is weird. Not a big fan of the choir ending but I like the first half, it's atmospheric and creepy.

this is good but it got a little homogeneous imo

That's the only song I've outright hated so far. Didn't like Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt either tho.

That's one of my faves, Pots. That, Frontier, Aleination and Eternal are the ones I like most after several plays.

I dunno like the tech-age meets dark pagan tribal experimental witchy ethereal chanting thing has always been "cool" or whatever but it's never been particularly enjoyable to sit through and this is no exception for me.

Personally, I dont find the AI thing to be a very good rationalization for some of the most remarkably unenjoyable moments here, in fact it kind of still irritates me as a concept in general. I was hoping the execution would change that

I feel similarly about this as I do to a lot of Bjorks most experimental stuff. Not sure I care to listen to this again.
