Ooh that's a tough task picking 3 but here's my best effort. I'm assuming you've heard radio staples like "Ocean Avenue" and "Only One", so I'm giving you my personal favorites from their post-hiatus discography, hopefully that does the trick!

"Awakening":

Song got me through worst breakup ever, it's ever so slightly vengeful but manages to somehow be optimistic at the same time.

"Be The Young":

Song is way more impactful than a pop-punk song should be. I didn't think much of it at first but now it moves me every time.

"Fields & Fences":

Their last song ever and possibly their best. That second half is so cathartic and basically ties together the lyrical themes of their whole discography. I could wax poetic about this for paragraphs but I'll save that for a more appropriate space.

*Also, if you like Coldplay (which you do), check out this amazing cover they did for Fix You:

Thank you!! I'm on the train now so I'll check rn (:

I remember loving "Ten" (my gf at the time adored that song). I think I actually saw these guys with her at Warped Tour... Do they tour with a violinist?

Awakening: This started pretty straightfoward but the intensity of the drums/strings built it up into something crazy good... Didn't blow me away but I really enjoyed it.

Be the Young: Oof that's a really heavy guitar sound, which reminds me a bit of Paramore musically. I'm not a huge fan of the vocals on these but the way they use him is admirable. This was good too just not as much as the first!

Fields and Fences: Okay yeah this one took a while to build up but it's so so lovely. Those strings at the end are just goddamn gorgeous and the way the song builds is wonderful. Great stuff!!

Yeah I suppose they're not the kind of "hey check these few songs and get instantly hooked" kind of band - I grew up with them - but I'd recommend spinning them on a sunny day and starting from Ocean Ave. If you are interested in pursuing their discog, that is. They do have some heavier rock moments, mainly because of their awesome drummer and guitarist ('The Takedown' riffs hard, also 'Lights and Sounds' and 'Holly Wood Died' are slightly darker thematically), so anyway I won't shove the band down your throat but I do think you'd find plenty to like if you ever decided to invest the time.

Queens of the Stone Age are amazing in general. Lullabies to Paralyze is super underrated

I just need to state that I’m digging how much love Sput is giving ‘I Appear Missing’ these days, what an incredible song. Perfection.

The first time I properly heard that was live in the O2 Arena and it blew my fucking mind. The solo in it is up there in their finest moments

Only just realised this is a Sowing review, thought I was just replying to the mammoth existing thread for some reason. Hyperbolic review but justified, you also salivated all over one of my favourite tracks ever, like really went to town on it. Nice.

@Demon of the Fall nice. Yeah my name derives from I Am The Walrus by The Beatles so I'm a real baby - maybe baby boomer even, who knows (no one knows)

yeah this was a huge summer album for me, as I kind of covered in my review -- I listened to this album that whole summer...from working odd jobs to riding around in the car. i always associate it with engagement ring hunting too, because that was constantly spinning in my car as i drove from one jeweler to the next looking for a good ring/deal
