my first impression was Something to Believe was a near-total dud and Everyday - while an utterly fantastic banger - really felt out of place with its position on the album, which put me off the first half a fair bit despite how good Andromeda is. Mirror Forever is a bit slow too but the second half is golden otherwise, and Movies is just the best song by such a large distance that it's kinda frustrating.

Yeah, 'Something to Believe' is easily my least favorite.

Also, I've decided that 'Movies' tops 'Everyday' as the best song on the album.

Here's where I stand currently after 3 listens:

01 A Lot’s Gonna Change - 4/5

02 Andromeda - 4/5

03 Everyday - 5/5

04 Something to Believe - 3/5

05 Titanic Rising - n/a but pretty

06 Movies - 5/5

07 Mirror Forever - 4.5/5

08 Wild Time - 4/5

09 Picture Me Better - 4.5/5

10 Nearer to Thee - n/a but pretty

Movies is definitely the most modern song. Besides that song, I hear the influence of a lot of older artists from the 60s-80s, but I really struggle to hear any obvious modern influences. My favorite is Andromeda, as I think it summarizes the album best.

First couple tracks did nothing for me so I switched it off. Will revisit though given the love this is getting.

movies is superb, despite the fact the chord progressions are predictably modulating. second half makes me think of philip glass big time. wild time needs more love.

After listening to the opener I'm really afraid I'm going to find this boring but I hope I'm wrong given all the hype for this

This makes me feel like I'm listening to AM radio in 1979 in the best possible sense. Fold my heart right in half.

opener is one of the best tracks here. if you dislike it there's a good chance you won't care much for the rest.
