Hah! I've been lucky cos they're local so I've seen them 3-4 times in the past year and a half at tiny clubs for $10, but they're really breaking out and I've been dealing with the sadness of those days probably being over.

Yeah I caught them at a tiny venue in SLC a few years ago, easily the best live performance I've ever seen.

There's still a little bit of time left though. They might be getting on bills with bigger bands like AAL and Contortionist, but they're still probably going to be headlining smaller shows. Catch those while you still can!

This is great... sounds a bit like Torche

This is one of those bands that I'd love to see live but I honestly just don't dig the recorded sound too much. I don't care for the vocal style at all; it reminds me of every generic stoner rock/grunge vox and that's not my thing. It's a shame because the music is pretty sweet.
They sound like they would slay live though. And Crux... what a finale!

The finale is crazy and intense but seems like it comes out of left field considering their don't use harsh vocals much over either album so far. Was pretty awesome but just doesn't seem to fit. I dunno maybe i'm over thinking it

It's an interesting way to bring the album to its climax for sure. I think it makes a lot of sense to end an album about testing your own limits and pushing yourself for a cause with that sort of raw, almost animalistic release, sort of acknowledging humanity as something essentially limiting and taking that idea to its logical conclusion. I can see how it could come off a little out of nowhere on an aesthetic level but for me it fits thematically.
Idk I get hella pretentious talking about this band hahaha

The solo at the end is my favourite part of the album along with the sax breakdown in Trust.

I might be the only person in the world that doesn't love Through Ash ¯_(ツ)_/¯
For a moody hard hitter, I like Crux a lot better
