@Faenrir No, I wasn't joking. I suggest you listen to this record again because you're not hearing it right. Crap by Maiden's standards? You'll find that in the 90's, not here friend!

Iron Maiden & Killers are great records, and absolutely up to snuff (coming from a Bruce fan); better depending on who you ask. I wouldn't say Iron Maiden nor Killers "shit" on any Bruce era album, that's silly. However, I would probably take this record over Piece Of Mind and anything after Seventh Son. You'd be hard pressed to hear a bad Maiden album from the 80's because there isn't one. Now, I do know a lot of folks that dislike the Di'Anno years, it's different, and that's okay.

I think that should be taken into account menawati, the energy is crazy, not as theatric and big as Bruce

@Jeffrulesyou: Nah. Di'Ano, man. That guy could never sing...damn punks.

The songs are alright and with Bruce singing them, that'd be worth a 4. But Di'Ano is terrible.

To be fair, i rated No Prayer for the Dying a 2 and the X factor a 2.5

3 is still ok. But it sure as hell can't compare to the 5 albums after the switch to Dickinson...I mean, what a streak!

Number of the beast, piece of mind, powerslave, somewhere in time (my favorite), seventh son... not many bands can output 5 masterpieces such as these in a row.

Doesn't mean he can sing lol.

And Dickinson is such a good frontman, so fun to see him go wild in a live...

Paul Di'Ano is a fat angry jealous idiot lol.

Oh and he does playback of crap songs, too.

Nah. Di'Ano never sounded great. He brought energy, for sure and he was alright for a local band of punk rock. There's a reason the band got that popular and that reason is Bruce Dickinson. The guy left the band and what did Maiden do ? Their popularity went way down, they released crappy albums while Dickinson released 2 great ones (accident of birth / chemical wedding) and was even better solo than he was in Maiden before as a frontman.

The reason Maiden is still playing is that Dickinson came back.

So yeah, all the Di'Ano asskissers can go to hell. The guy can't sing, i know it's a prerequisite to be a crack-addict punk singer but aside from energy and aggression, it won't bring anything good to a band.

@parksungjoon: as i said, if Bruce sang on this one, i would have rated it a 4, at least. I just can't stand Di'Ano's "singing".

His voice was perfect for the music in the first two albums. These two albums are the most influential considering most extreme metal bands took influence from those and they have no problems in admitting it.

Bruce doesn't have the voice to sing those songs. He should just stick to the stuff he sang originally.

It's not a voice problem. He can't sing. He's not hitting the notes correctly but he doesn't care because it's punk, you know. And he even admitted the fact that he didn't know how to sing himself. Are you going to contradict the man himself ? I believe he knows more than you about it lol.

Sorry budgie for bursting your bubble and making you insult me. If you don't like it, i'd suggest not using internet.

"Bruce doesn't have the voice to sing those songs."

Lol. I saw maiden live on the Eddie Rips Up the World Tour and i can tell you he sang those songs pretty damn well ;) that concert was awesome and the best one i've seen from Maiden (i've seen them live 5 times including one with Bailey haha).

Ozzy didn't know how to sing so fuck him right? I bet Dio will sing Black Sabbath without problems if he was still alive.

Wrong. I don't give a fuck what Di'Anno says about his own voice.
