Do you dig the band's earlier material?
I dug the previous album in the sense that I appreciate the craftsmanship, but I wasn't overwhelmed, imho orchestral/keyboard parts kill the metal ones and vice versa, and that almost always rubs me the wrong way.
One of the very few times I fully liked the result, was with Therion and Theli.

That's really interesting. Have to admit that many times I'm not a big fan either but since I got exposed to Lingua Mortis, then Theli and mostly Vovin, I started enjoying the use of orchestra even though sometimes its use sounds forced.

damn I can still sing along to stuff like Dawn of Victory or Emerald Sword. used to listen heavily to all this late 90's euro power metal. (like 10 years ago or so)
