Indeed, their brand of blackened transylvanian punk is what won me over the first time I heard Manifestations last year.

Were they playing with more straight up punk bands?
|
| |
First band was some fastcore powerviolence type stuff, second was kind of experimental hardcore, then a band that's like punk mixed with The Doors and the last was straight hardcore. Real glad I went to their show though I've been looking for a local punk spot. I checked Manifestions from your rec Adolf. Only reason I went

Nice, I'm not really into powerviolence but the rest sounds interesting.

that sounds awesome.

It was pretty awesome indeed. Said it was gonna be $8 too but apparently all of their shows are free with encouraged donations so I'll more than likely be a regular there from here on out. Also all beer a dollar. I was smashing them indeed

Hell yeah, I got a couple of spots like that here in my area and it's just awsm to pop up on a week day after work, down some beers while watching some (incredible) bands.

jealous, im not aware of any places like that in my city.

I am sure if you do some digging you may find smth. I usually start on a local record store or a rehearsal studio, then just follow the flyers ;)

Fun album, would def want to see them live.
Also a bit sacrilegious but I did get some Kvelertak vibes from this, in a good way xD

Hmmmm really??? I’m not hearing the Kvelertak comparison tbh. Maybe a bit in the punky parts but Kvelertak def isn’t as raw or abrasive as these guys imo.

Indeed! Kvelertak is like a softer version for sure

They're pretty far from Kvelertak, imo. Sure, in some aspects they're both punky, but I think Kvelertak uses more classic hard rock elements - while Devil Master is "less fun, more spook" - if you know what I mean~

I just started getting on Kvelertak and yeah I don't get much of those vibes either.

I forgot completely about Kvelertak. Should revisit them sometime.

They changed the singer recently so I don't know how they are doing now, but the little I heard I'm really digging it. Perfect blend of death rock / black metal / punk.
