It's not illmatic but probs his second best. The message,take it in blood,I gave you power are all better than pretty much any track on later albums imo.

Illmatic, Stillmatic, Lost Tapes, and God's Son are pretty consistent. I Am is really solid until the last quarter takes a nosedive. This is the most drastic one tbh
