I can't listen to 'Second Love' anymore. Too intense emotionally, I always end up turning it off during the first chorus

This band just doesn't do it for me, too syrupy. To each his/her own.

Chain sling is really good. Daniel has loads of quirky as fuck ideas but he definitely is a musical prodigy

been jamming this a lot lately and I'm realizing how consistent it is. Gildenlow's guitar tone on Rope Ends is so sexy

Another amazing effort from Sweden, Rope Ends fucking owns. Also, this is slightly better than Perfect Element pt. 1.

This is still a great album but the first half of The Perfect Element is like my favorite stretch of songs in modern prog

Too bad Daniel sputtered out hard after this.

for some reason i can't get into anything by them besides Be

The road salts had a hand full of good songs but they were nothing like TPE, this or Be in my opinion
Emyay give The Perfect Element a chance again some time, the first song can be off putting but it represents an intense rape scene and every song after is prog perfection

will do. it mostly comes down to me just needing to take the time to listen to a whole album and really focus on it. i think i've heard random songs here and there from their albums and i just get annoyed

Yeah this is more accessible than TPE, and less daring. Good change of pace though.
