The heavy stuff on this album is so boring and generic to me tbh. Still pretty dang good tho

I don't care for the bm but this may be enough to sway me.

Rogue - this band has always used doses of post metal in their music. No wonder you like it ...

too much tremolo over power chord stuff here. i know that's a big part of their sound, but most of their other albums seemed to have more variety. i know Atrophy went overkill on that too, but the songwriting seemed much better there. when that solo came in on As Our Bones Break to the Dance and then we get that hard ass riff, i was like fuckin finally. ironing out more and more of their post metal influence isnt helping things.

also a lot of the riffs are pretty generic and predictable, not anything special. sounds like lazy riff writing.

lastly, the production doesnt have any bite.

some cool moments here and i did like it overall, but i am disappointed.

Less post metal influence and more bm is probably why I prefer this to the rest of their discog haha. But I actually think there’s a good amount of variety in each track

at least we can all agree the drums are killer m/

Yeah I’m like 90% sure it’ll be a 4.5 for me within the next few days. Gonna sit down and have a proper listen later tonight.
