Nah doof this has the most variation of influences and styles of any of his albums and it's his first true outing in pop. That's not even in question, it just comes down to whether or not its a successful change in direction.

That's exactly why it's too early to have an album of the year, but if we're going to make a 4/5 record sound way better than it is, let's give Deerhunter some love, damn it. That album is a mess, but it sure as shit don't bore you.
