I think the thing that bugs me most on this record is how incredibly boring the drums are, especially in comparison with how fucking good Dirk is. The squeaky clean albeit a bit muddy production also does not help.

i mean losing dirk was a huge blow yeah

It just seems the drummer tried to add very little, almost sounds like he just copied basic programming for the most part. Of course there are some nice fills but it's day and night compared to the last two albums, where the drums are completely mental

Yeah they were really blessed to have Dirk, dude's one of the best drummers out there
