Lead work is awesome on this, fairly generic for me though.

My disguise is such a good track. I was really surprised by their more melodic direction in this.

It's an option to decode the djent riffs, perhaps it's binary.

Someone else described my feelings, it’s pretty solid and I would have LOVED it 5 years ago. But it just makes me think of high school and all the bands that sounded like this back then but completely disappeared off the face of the earth. Also Why is it so hard for clean vocals to be interesting in metalcore?

You let the Devil in? OK dear but have you let the dog out?

"You let the devil in
you let your left leg out
In
out
in
out
Satan all about.
Do the fire n' brimstone-choke'y and you burn in hell
That's what it's all about."

Didn’t take his shoes off, treated the place like a doss house and completly took the piss when he ate our youngest daughter. Never again.

Agree with MarsKid.
This isn’t the worst cookie cutter metal-djent-core-whatever band I’ve heard but they don’t do much for the genre. There are moments here and there that are okay, the cleans aren’t particularly whiny (which is good) and the vocalist can really dig low on the growls (reminded me of TDWP). But I think ultimately this is a pretty average album.
Re: hermit that only listens to 2000s core bands... I mean, that’s when core started getting fun. There are some bands that sound like Currents and some sound like The Armed. Which one is doing it better? Well that’s easy, it’s not Currents.
