LOL we have already gotten half the fucking record and it's not even out. What is the sense of releasing all of these songs as singles? And yeah the two new ones are disposable as fuck just like the rest of the record so far. Colour Of Love and Anno Satana are literally the only good tracks, everything else is just bland and goes nowhere. How is it we have a fucking DOUBLE record and we've only gotten one forgettable rock song out of 10 tracks from a Smashing Pumpkins album? He's either disappearing up his own ass with self-indulgent pet projects or trolling his fan base at this point lol

It's out there. Just like people feared, it's a double album of nothing but Goth-tinged synth pop. The second half isn't much different from the first albeit better quality of songwriting, and Wyttch is pretty much the only "rock" song on this whole thing lol. Super disappointing, but not surprising. It's better than Shiny Pt. 1, but not by much.

"Cyr" is still better than anything on Shiny so I'll probably still like it

Listened to a few of the singles in prep (idk how much time I'll actually have to digest this this weekend so figured why not)
"Dulcet in E" and "Ramona" are two of the worst songs they've put to tape
"Anno Satana" and "Birch Grove" were really nice tho and made me excited for the rest
Expecting a 3 :/

Anno Satana is great. The album would have been much better with about 5-6 songs left as b-sides, it's just too samey and bloated, which brings down the genuinely good tracks. It also feels very back-loaded, the darker tracks in the second half like Purple Blood and Save Your Tears are great but you have to slog through so much blah

Think so. Apparently the new album is complete and it's supposed to be a sequel to Mellon Collie. I am ready to give it a 2 already unfortunately.

I have no problem with them continuing to tour, I've seen some videos of recent performances and Billy sounds good imo (although lets be honest 'good' for Billy depends if you can stand his voice in the first place), but yeah CYR was awful and I don't see them releasing something I'll really enjoy ever again.

Yeah this is pretty bad, definitely the worst Pumpkins album I've come across so far. Curious to see how CYR and Atum compares to this. Got a soft spot for Marchin' On and With Sympathy so it's not completely terrible, Solara is not too bad but the drums are jarring. Definitely a 2 if I've ever heard one.

Agreed they should keep touring but for the love of god only play shit from Adore and before. They were actually pretty damn good when I saw them live but like half the shit was from these fuckin new records

Ah what!? At least when I saw Muse they were still quite generous playing earlier material. Machina and Monuments have some decent tunes though, I wouldn't mind a couple from those albums. Would rather not hear anything from this though lol.

With Sympathy is the only track on here i ever really go back to, Silvery Sometimes is ok but feels pretty tossed off. Knights of Malta is probably my least favorite pumpkins song ever, just embarrassingly bad in every way
