Youthfulness, dreams, hopes, living it, dealing with it loving it and not giving a fuck. They don't make them like this anymore.

Amazing album

It's rough and Noels song writing improved leaps by their second album but there's some special about Defintely Maybe

I truly think it deserves a 5

it's the yin to Verve's A Northern Soul's yang, or at least that's how i see it, especially since both were produced by Owen Morris. i prefer the latter, but both are great fuckin' albums

out of context, Oasis is just an excellent and maybe more aggressive Power Pop band for me

never been that much a fan of these guys tbh, but I've been jamming this a lot these days

Rock N Roll Star, Shakermaker, Up In The Sky and Cigarettes and Alcohol are fucking amazing tunes, the rest doesn't do much tho

Live Forever and Slide Away are easily the two best on this one. Morning Glory is a bit more consistent imo

Think I'm definitely in the minority on this one, it's... OK I guess? Not sure if it's me completely missing the Britpop era, but I just found it a pretty generic romp, with some great singalong moments and guitar work. I found Liam's vocals to be borderline grating at times, maybe why it's left a sour impression on me. Like Slide Away is awesome, but the constant "Slide Awayyyyy's" towards the end actually ruined my experience. Maybe it'll grow on me.

I prefer Morning Glory quite a lot more though, to be fair! But 50% of that album I've already heard through radio play and parties... So that might have influenced my thoughts on it. Wish people would stop singing Wonderwall on karaoke though, seems to be the go to Oasis tune for drunken Brits.

I loved this album when I first heard it maybe ~7 years ago but I don't know what went wrong with tonight's listen 🙁 maybe I just wasn't in the right mood
