Whoever sunlight is, you're completely devoid of light pal.

Explaining this would require a length socio-political commentary? Fuck off it would. Absolutely clueless about the nuts and bolts of what brings us together. Born after 1985 no doubt.

They represent everything I dislike about a certain sub-section of culture in my country, obviously I'm not speaking for everyone when I say that (it's a personal thing) and I'm sure people just enjoy their music for what it is... without even thinking about any of this.

And no I wasn't born by 1985 but close enough to have a valid opinion on the subject...

Which 'sub section' are we talking about?

I don't know but I'm looking forward to thinking about them deeply before listening to Oasis in the future

The sub section of people who like Oasis of course, seriously though...

I don't like their arrogance, especially when combined with their lack of ability - I find this annoying. They seem to think a lot of themselves whilst simultaneously producing some of the most tepid, derivative music I've ever witnessed. The lyrics are especially laughable & appear to promote nothing but the worst of attitudes towards life in general, you get impression if they didn't fluke a music career they'd be complete wasters doing absolutely nothing with their lives.

They are not talented, they are repulsive & I don't like the whole "voice of the people" thing as Oasis certainly don't speak for me.

Would that be the sub-section which will be viewed as the most subverted, entitled, idealistic, molly coddled, unaware, bland, predisposed, and clueless of the 21st century.

Walking around like they're the most altruistic, enlightend individuals in existence but with bollocks the size of raisins.

You're shit and I bet you've got a shit 'tache.

Hey, why the 'tache? I'll have you know I've got a full 'tache & beard combo, the proper kind.

I'm probably some of those things, certainly not entitled or molly coddled though, I've worked hard to get where I am but definitely have no superiority complex, quite the opposite in fact. You seem to be describing exactly the kind of people who Oasis seem to sympathise with, or "speak to"... promoting arrogance & laziness is associating them with the people you've described. How many of their lyrics (or general attitude) help to promote positive thinking?

Gallagher lads are pricks but man the music is pretty damn catchy, give them at least that

Oasis' lyrics are almost always generally positive or aspirational, not everyone needs to sit and salivate over some art school favourite like Kid A just to prove they're ever so intellectual, and that's coming from someone who actually likes Kid A.

I should've just left it at - the Gallagher's are pricks & I don't like their music. Think that would've saved a lot of time...

I think they're aspirational but don't seem to encourage any effort in order to reach said aspirations. I'm sure they've admitted laziness themselves in both interviews & lyrics.

Regardless, it doesn't really matter, I just don't like them & sometimes you try & justify your dislike for something with flawed (or nonsensical) logic... Oasis (to me) are a comparable to certain football teams in that I really don't like them but a lot of those feelings are quite possibly irrational.

Some people on here need to listen to music with their heart not their head or comment on music they do like. For the fans, a decent review. The only thing I would have said differently is that great oasis songs like Supersonic and Slide Away need to be rated 5/5. If you are mad fer it, and a true oasis fan than Supersonic pumps you up. And Slide Away moves you.
